life as i know it

"...everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt." -Sylvia Plath

the things that make us think

Funny the things in life that make us think. I'm talking about those things that make us stop dead in our tracks, and really ponder the meanings and mysteries of life. And how complex those meanings and mysteries appear. If only our minds could just hold the simplicity of life's moments, rather than twisting and turning each moment into a tumultuous web of chaos. But such simplicity evades me.
Instead, I find myself drowning in myriad emotions, riding the swells of life's highs and lows, reliving those life-altering moments of my past, and dreaming of an unknown future. I find myself thinking of all those "what ifs" and creating alternate scenarios for my life. And the irony (as it may seem to some) is that I like my life right now, here in this place and in this time. It's not so much a longing for something else, but rather a head and heart overflowing with so much life that it cannot all quite be contained. And I am brimming with my life, the experiences and moments that have comprised the wholeness of my being and made me into who I am today.
